The Cappon House was Holland Michigan's first Mayor’s home. Located in the Historic district, the site exists as a connection to the era of the founders. The home is partially restored and historically correct.
In 2014 the site was laser scanned in great detail. The data -set was presented to the Holland Museum in order to preserve an accurate digital record of how the Cappon House exists today. The data will be available for continued preservation efforts and also as an insurance policy. If the house is damaged due to natural or other causes, the site can be modeled and or re-built to original designs.
